Features
Agents
Your personal Gluon, custom agents with their own instructions, companion, model and tools, and how your Gluon delegates work to them.
Your Gluon
Section titled “Your Gluon”Every member has a personal assistant named “
On your Gluon’s page in Settings → Agents you can change its instructions, companion, color and model. Its name follows your account name and cannot be changed, and it cannot be deleted.
Settings → Agents lists your Gluon and your agents, each with the first sentence of its instructions; click a row to open it. The count beside New agent shows how many of your six agents you have.
Custom agents
Section titled “Custom agents”You can create up to five custom agents, six counting your Gluon. Each has:
- a name and instructions (up to 4,000 characters), such as a tutor that explains step by step or a writer with your house style;
- a companion (Gloo, Kit or Puff) and one of six colors, shown in its chats;
- a model (see below);
- the tools it may use: your connectors (all of them, including ones you add later, or a chosen list), and which of the Sandbox, Browser and Email tool groups it gets; a new agent gets all three unless you turn some off. Web, Calendar (including scheduled tasks), files, artifacts, images, chat, utility, recall and guide tools are always available, and every call still follows your permissions.
Create one in Settings → Agents → New agent and choose Create agent; it opens
straight into its first chat. Start more chats with it from Your agents in the chat
list, or pick it with with
- Changes save as you make them. In an existing agent’s page there is no Save button: a companion, color, model or tool change saves at once, and a name or instructions save once you pause typing or leave the field. Each section shows Saved, or Couldn’t save with Retry if the change didn’t go through.
- Edits apply to every chat of that agent from its next reply.
- An agent can ask for a tool group it doesn’t have. When your request needs Sandbox, Browser or Email and the agent doesn’t have it, the agent shows a Turn on card listing the group it would gain. Nothing changes until you approve. The new tools work from your next message, so send your request again once it’s on.
- Ask your Gluon. In a private chat, your Gluon can list your agents, tell you how one is set up, and rename one or change its companion, color or model: “Rename my Tutor agent to Study buddy”, “Make my Gluon use Claude Sonnet 5.5”. It shows the agent with a link to its settings, and an open Settings → Agents page shows the change at once. If the agent changed since your Gluon read it, it reads it again instead of undoing the other change. In groups, your Gluon doesn’t change your agents.
- Create agents and change their instructions or tools in chat. “Make me a Tutor agent that explains step by step, without Email”, “Tell my Gluon to keep answers short”, “Let my Tutor use Notion”. These always show a card first, whatever the tool’s permission: a new agent with its instructions and every connector and tool group it gets, or exactly what changes, with removed instructions struck through and added ones highlighted, and the connectors and tool groups gained or lost. Nothing changes until you choose Create agent, Save instructions or Save tools. Your Gluon can’t make these changes when an email, a page or a scheduled task asked for them; ask in your own message. Your Gluon’s own tools can’t change.
- Delete an agent in chat. “Delete my Tutor agent” asks first by default, with the agent’s name on the card; if the agent was renamed since, nothing is deleted. Your Gluon can’t delete itself.
- Tool permissions are yours, not the agent’s: choosing Always allow in an agent’s chat changes the setting everywhere.
- Custom agents don’t keep facts about you and don’t join groups. In a group, ask your Gluon to delegate to them instead.
- Deleting an agent is permanent. Its chats stay readable but can’t be continued, and their scheduled tasks are cancelled.
Models
Section titled “Models”Each agent, your Gluon included, runs on the model chosen in its editor:
| Model | Notes |
|---|---|
| Gluon Default | The default; runs on GPT-6.1 Terra |
| GLM 5.3 Flash | Cheap and capable |
| DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 | |
| Claude Sonnet 5.5 | |
| Claude Haiku 5.5 | |
| GPT 5.6 Terra | |
| GPT 5.6 Luna | |
| Gemini 3.8 Flash |
A chat switches to its agent’s current model from the next reply. You pay for each reply at what the model costs, so more capable models spend more credits; see Credits and usage. In groups, your Gluon uses its own model for your requests.
Delegation
Section titled “Delegation”Your Gluon can hand work to your custom agents, or to copies of itself, while it carries on:
- To a custom agent: “Ask my Tutor agent to make a revision plan for Riya’s exams.”
- To copies of itself: for big jobs with independent parts that can run in parallel.
- To Research: for research and comparisons across many sources, Gluon starts a research copy that searches several ways, reads primary sources, checks claims against two independent sources and reports cited findings with what it could not confirm. Ask for it with “look into this properly” or “research …”.
Only your Gluon delegates; agents and copies can’t delegate further. Each delegated task appears as a row in the chat and in the side panel’s Tasks tab, where you can watch it, approve its tool calls or stop it. Its result comes back to your Gluon, which replies with it. See Background tasks.
A delegated task works on its own, so it can’t ask you questions. It can use a browser with your saved sign-ins, but it can’t hand the browser to you: a site that needs you to sign in has to wait for a chat. A task can’t be continued either; to change course, ask your Gluon to start a new one.
